Executive Summary
Chaired by Prof. Clara Lau (on behalf of HAB Chair Prof. Yung-Chi Cheng), the inaugural HAB meeting of The King’s CICM Initiative 2.0 successfully convened on 5 January 2025, uniting 30 HAB members from Europe and Asia (17 online, 14 on-site). On the first Sunday of 2025, participants dedicated their time to shaping the future of King’s CICM—a testimony of their trust and support. King’s CICM will strive to live up to their great expectations.
Key Highlights:
- Officially launched the HAB, marking a pivotal step in advancing the initiative.
- Reviewed the initiative’s background, progress and vision, fostering collaborative brainstorming between HAB members and faculty.
- Outlined Stage-1 and -2 objectives, including a £0.5m fundraising target for the King’s CICM Empowerment Fund and a £5m fundraising target for the King’s CICM Establishment Fund.
- Set the stage for the afternoon Inaugural Forum, collectively heralding a new era for King’s CICM.
This hybrid meeting underscored the HAB’s commitment to supporting the King’s CICM Initiative in driving innovation and global impact through learning from traditional, complementary and integrative medicine.
